    Aberdar is produced from grapes grown in Aleksandrović Winery’s finest Chardonnay vineyard, located at the Ježevac site. The vineyard lies on a southern exposure at 335 meters above sea level, on highly rocky soils composed of sand, silt, and clay.

    Following hand harvesting and meticulous grape selection, the wine undergoes brief skin-contact fermentation, adding structure and complexity. It then spends two years aging in oak barrels, where it develops its distinctive richness and aromatic depth.

    The nose is dominated by aromas of ripe apricot, peach, and melon. On the palate, layers of pear, quince, pineapple, and vanilla unfold, while subtle notes of fresh tobacco contribute additional complexity and character.

Winemaker’s Note

Aberdar demonstrates how far Chardonnay can go when given time, attention, and patience. Every stage of production is dedicated to preserving the grape’s character and expressing its origin.

Brief skin-contact fermentation contributes additional depth and texture, while two years in oak barrels refine the wine and enrich its aromatic profile.

The result is a wine that reveals itself gradually. With every minute in the glass, it unveils new layers of fruit, spice, and oak, rewarding those willing to give it time.
